Mogran

Off that point of confluence
Where two unlikely waters meet
Hot and cold,
In a mad betrothal of incompatibles;

Off that darkness
Of muddied hairy tongues;
Sleep drowned eye
Hugging the waves insomnias
You house your great oblivion

Do you remember
What sudden atrocity of buried suns
Made you glide through the stoniness;
Uncoiled your pythons
Convulsed your birth?

God’s venom!
Now you lie
Smeared with the crusted blood of harnessed lavas.
Your corrugated tentacles
Spread out as a beggars palm
Waiting for mercies

Except to revert
To the void
Of your primal state;
Ash
And the voice of nothing.
